Blogging Gals meet-up

Hello lovelies,

I hope you are well! If you have read my blog for a while, you will know I have been to some amazing events and met some really interesting people but I have to say that Zaineb (who runs the fashionista hub Blogging Gals! ) is one of those people, who even though I do not see her regularly has always been a supporter of my blog.

Which is why when I saw she arranging a meet-up, I knew I had to attend because she is one of those few people who has a rare and positive magnetism and this is why I am not at all surprised, that Blogging Gals surpassed their 2015 goal of gained 20k followers on twitter - CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS!

Onto the event, which was really lovely as most of the girls I had actually never had the pleasure of meeting in person. So it was really nice to chat and get to know each other over a couple glasses of wine and tapas at Camino Bankside! Just a little warning that the photo's below may make you very hungry, as the food was really delicious. Although, as I am not a big wine drinker or a wine connoisseur, I feel I am not the best person to write about the wine as only the fresh white wine tantalised my palette. However me being a great blogger forgot to get the name of the wine - sorry guys *hands covering eyes monkey emoji*.

Albeit if you are or know of any Sherry or wine drinkers than Camino's is definitely a front runner option, as the service at Bankside was just excellent and the host was attentive and informative.

#ScentedSongs at Gorilla Perfume Islington

Hello lovelies,

The on the thursday just pasted, I attended one of the daily #ScentedSongs at the quirky and cosy Lush Gorilla store in Islington. Upon arrival I was really excited to go to the intimate live session because it was a nice way to catch up with Lew and Liam (who invited me) and also to hear the gorgeous Rothwell sing!

I do not know about you but I love going to smaller shops sometimes because the service is better but also because it is nice not to feel bombarded, by so various items surrounding you. So if you are like me,  then you will love Gorilla as it has unique and stocked with one-of a kind fragrances that are only distributed in the Islington branch; which I think has a lovely personalised quality.

Onto Rothwell, I don't know what I can say about her. Words cannot describe how soulful and round her voice is. She has a warm and nostalgic quality when she sings, her originally wrote songs that is truly powerful. I love how in certain songs, she is not afraid to belt out a highly controlled yet raspy sound. Also after talking to her after the sessions, I can confirm that she is genuinely lovely and down to earth girl, on and off stage.

Rothwell's music is pure bliss so definitely go and listen to her music and follow her on everything because I have a feeling she may blow up pretty soon!

Another reason to pop by to Gorilla's #ScentedSongs is the unique idea of combining music with fragrances, as every song performed was accompanied by a different scent and other hidden surprises i.e. bubbles, cold beverages, pieces of chocolates and even lollipops!

So if you are ever in the area, why not pop into Gorilla Islington (3 Camden Passage
London N1 8EA) and while you are there why not have a wonder, as there are so many cute little shops around.
Until next time lovelies,

MCR Fashion Industry - Blue Hues SS15

Hello lovelies,

I hope you are all well! On Sunday the 2nd of August, my sister and I made our way to Manchester for the Blues Hues event by MCR Fashion Industry and oh, Manchester were you enjoyable! It felt quite surreal, as my sister and I always used to travel to Manchester as children for football games (I am a Manchester United supporter fyi!), so to be back in the city years later kind of felt like a second home.

So I know what you maybe thinking, a fashion show and after party on a Sunday? And how do I know this because I was thinking the same thing, but honestly fashionista's in Manchester know how to party and will do, no matter what day of the week it is!

The night commenced at the pre-party and catwalk show venue,  Restaurant Bar & Grill which was lovely as we were on the terrance of the venue - which means great lighting for ootd pictures and selfies! I also could not resist taking a picture of the sea of various shades of blue, as the dress code for the event was blue.

Now onto the main event, the fashion show that was fashionable late but definitely worth the wait, with the gorgeous models from Vanita Models  showcasing these various brands Esperar Boutique, Maniere De Voir and Goodwin Smith. Something I noticed from all the brands that were showcased was the versatility of each piece, that can be interchangeable which I really like and can appreciate. Especially now, as I am trying to think of my clothes as investment pieces.

Lastly the after party, which was held at the plush The Milton Club , was definitely fun! My sister and I, arrived a few hours after is started as we knew it was going to be a late one and it was definitely a good idea as the party was in full-force. On arrival, we were greeted we fire dancers which was literally so incredible and you can go and see them on my instagram - if you have not already.

All in all, I would say is was a really good night, my sister and I really enjoyed ourselves and thank you so much for inviting us MCR Fashion Industry team. I cannot wait to see what next year will be like!

Until next time lovelies,

Kings of Past private preview evening

Hi lovelies,

I hope you are well! A couple of weeks ago, I attended Asoni Haus Kings of Past private preview evening, in the heart of London at the Library Club. As a daily spectacles wearer I thought it would be really interesting event to attend, as I love sunglasses but can never find sunglasses that fit my small shaped head!

Also it was a good excuse to window shop, have a good old catch-up with Kinga and Liam who also attended the event and finally meet the bubbly and gorgeous Ingrid! Not to mention having a few cheeky drinks, all in the name of networking ;)

All in all, I feel it was a lovely evening, as the more events I attend and paired with how much I have matured. I really do believe that calm, relaxed events are much more appealing than busy and packed ones - except for at fashion week, ha!

All jokes aside though, I really do love Kings of Past eyewear as they are most one off vintage pieces that can suit a wide range tastes, styles and face structures. Also while I was there, I found out how extensive and precise the search for the perfect sunglasses are; and also the lengths that KoP go to, to provide there clients with what they request.

So I cannot stress enough how customer led and dedicated the KoP team are, which is why you should not take my word for it but actually try them out, as they are ever so friendly and have a wide range of brands to choose from.

Until next time lovelies,

Task PR's 'Christmas in July'

Hi lovelies,

I hope you are well! I cannot express how surreal it is, to go to a press day during the heat of Summer, to preview Christmas or shall I say a/w bits. It is so funny because usually when you go to a cluster of press days, you do not question fashion being a season ahead, but as soon as you replace 'autumn/winter' with 'Christmas', everyone seems to get excited - me included!

Albeit I think it is because for most people, Christmas day or the period of Christmas is comforting and nostalgic, which is why when I received my lovely invited from my PR family Task, I knew it could not be missed!

As per usual, the clothes and accessories were gorgeous and definitely something not to be missed. Also I know I say this every press day, but it is genuinely so nice to go around a showroom and recognise brands, styles and silhouettes. As sometimes especially when it is coming to winter, is it great to wear and buy brands you can trust, to get you through the cold weather. And I can honestly say that the pieces on offer definitely are UK weather proof. From the fabrics to the colours, Task just seem to go from strength to strength with the calibre of brands they represent.

I am so excited to see what next season has to offer!

Until next time lovelies,
