ABOUT Baltic underwear

Hello lovelies,

Today's post is all about, ABOUT the baltic underwear brand, which I was first introduced to by the lovely people at Task PR, during their press day. And as it is yet again press day season, I thought why not showcase this amazing brand that are represented by my friends at Task!

ABOUT is a four year old ethically conscious brand, that has just launched in the UK in 2015. Which is very lucky for us as they only use best fabrics for their underwear such as BeeswaxSilk ProteinsAloe Vera or Silver Ions. Not to mention the contemporary aims that each garments lives up to, which not only includes being comfortable but also leaving skin feeling moisturised, nourished and refreshed.

Another very exciting aspect is that this July, they have launched their very own campaign called Fit the Benefit’ which is inspired by Superpowers. Hence the ethereal campaign shots! If that wasn't interesting enough, I have been sent one to review, which I am really excited to try out and style!

So if you think you are up to the challenge of unleashing your extraordinary alter-ego, why not browse the ABOUT website, as RRP start at an affordable £15 for underwear!

Until next time loves,

Unidays X River Island Comp

Hello lovelies,

A short while ago I entered a Unidays x River Island twitter competition and to my surprise I won! The prize was a £150 gift card to spend in River Island, which I was ecstatic about because who doesn't love RI and guilt-free shopping! Also during this time my sister's birthday was fast-approaching so I was so happy that I got to buy her the presents she deserved.

1. The white woven cami - I absolutely love this top, as it is perfect for the warm weather and is pretty enough to be dress up and down; which is always a bonus.

2. The gold pendant - This was one of the presents I gave to my sister as she was in need of a casual everyday piece that would just complete an outfit and versatile enough to wear with every colour.

3. The light pink trouser - When I was younger I always wanted to dress older and smart, which is why when I saw these trousers I knew I had to buy them; as if you may have noticed I had been making a habit of wearing leggings and most recently jeans but I lacked a good staple trouser. I also love the fit and colour tone of this trouser as it is fun, smart and pretty!

Plus if I had the money I would have bought the blue version as it is gorgeous too!

4. The pastel blue necklace -  I don't need to say much about this necklace because if you follow me on my social media platforms, you will have noticed that I have not taken this necklace off since I first bought it. It literally goes with so many different outfits, I am just in love!

1. The khaki green wrap utility jumpsuit - For a while now I have really wanted a jumpsuit but because of my curvy proportions I have never found one that fits well enough, which is where this beauty comes in.

I was first drawn to this jumpsuit because it had love lovely wrap top, it was in khaki green and just looked very flattering and to my amazement, it was all those things and more on! I am just yet again in love and I cannot wait to wear this more too.

2. The leather black fringe skirt - BEAUTIFUL! This skirt although in most girl's wardrobe because it  has been plastered in every RI newsletter and situated at the front of every RI shop, is yet again something I had to purchase because when on feels amazing. I just feel ready to dance, twirl and be adored in this skirt.

3. The classic and sophisticated black pencil skirt with lace trim - This was the other gift I bought my sister, as she is now firmly in her mid-twenties and I just thought she needed a classic yet flirty skirt.

I hope you enjoyed this post and most of the items should still be on the RI website, while stocks last.

Until next time lovelies,

Temperley London wishlist

Hello lovelies,

I hope you are all well! When thinking about what topics to blog about, this was one of the most exciting ones for me, as I get to showcase one of my favourite British designers. I cannot recall the first time I heard or saw a Temperley London piece but what I can remember is the feeling I got when I saw her collection, pure love.

I absolutely adore Alice Temperley's designs because of the fabric, the silhouettes, the colours and the  inspirations behind each collection. In my opinion, I believe Alice really does understand the female mind and figure, which is why she is able to create beautiful figure-flattering pieces. Hence why I decided to a little compliance wishlist of her sale and new collection items, that I loved the look of.

Although as my birthday is approaching (July 30th) I would not oblige if anyone decided to gift me, with any of these beautiful pieces ;) - just kidding.

I hope you enjoyed this post,
until next time.

Recent Boohoo purchases

Hello lovelies,

Recently I have been doing a fair bit of online shopping and I guarantee that most of the photographs I have been posting on my social media accounts are from my recent purchase selection. So here is a peak into what I have bought from the affordable and fashion online website, Boohoo.

Before I show you my current selection, I must say I have really been loving Boohoo at this particular moment in time, as they stock nearly everything that I may want or need - which is perfect and the reason why when I need an item, I now start browsing on Boohoo then anywhere else!

Until next time lovelies,

The Greenery ootd

Hello lovelies,

In my last post you read about my experience at the 'City of Lights' exhibit and this post will be the ootd that went with it, as I felt it would be more practical to split the post because I have not done a single post dedication the an ootd in a while.

So a little background on my outfit, I have been brought up in colour and white and this is a perfect representation of my grown up but still resembling my youth and age. My green bomber is an item you are no stranger to and it is from New Look (Mens), my gorgeous and simple dress is from Boohoo and the beautiful shoes are from Dorothy Perkins sale - believe it or not! They are a new purchase (and not the only one, that post is to come) and I am just transfixed with them although I must warn that I am wearing my shoe sizers and blister plasters inside then, as new shoes are not always the best to wear for long periods of time; even if they are flat.

Until next time lovelies,

'City of Lights' exhibition

Hello lovelies,

Recently I ventured out from the cocoon of my bed and house to visit a really interesting exhibition. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you may have noticed that I really like to visit places and see thing that maybe out of my comfort zone or that I am not familiar with - as I believe this is the only way you will grow as a person and be able to broaden your horizons.

The exhibition I visited was the 'City of Lights' exhibit at the Lights of Soho gallery on Brewer Street. I have to be completely honest I didn't hunt and fish for this exhibit but instead it came to me via a lovely email sent by a lady called Sophie. I usually get sent a various array of things but for some reason (that you will see below) I was instantly attracted to this particular exhibit, just like a moth to a flame (pun intended!). Which is why on a sunny London day, my illustrator friend Holly and I, took a trip the exhibition to see what all the hype was about.

In conclusion, we were not disappointed. It was a really interesting gallery and space for not only art but also for a drink or two ;) .

Until next time lovelies,

A trip to Brighton + catch- up

Hello lovelies,

I know it has been a while but after finishing my first year of university, I just felt I needed a well deserved rest. Although saying that I haven't been resting as much but instead writing a personal project, that will be maybe be shared with you in the future (hopefully if it all goes well!). Okay so I am babbling now.

Last month I took a little weekend trip away to Brighton as it was my older sister's birthday and what better way to mark this special occasion, then with a trip away! I must also say that, this weekend away was not only a birthday trip but a celebration of me finishing my first year alive ... well kind of.

(p.s a lot of filtered pictures ahead)

It was truly a lovely experience to go back to Brighton, as I have fond memories as a child of being in Brighton, laying on the pebble and sand mix, throwing rocks in the water, eating way too much candy floss and ice-cream; but most of all feeling calm. So all in all I think it was a nostalgic and reflective weekend away.

So I thought as this is my blog and this was a bit of a personal lifestyle post, why not open up about my lack of blogging. One of the main reasons why I haven't blogged in a while is because I have for the most part felt over-whelmed, tired, stressed and really busy - which let me tell you is not a nice feeling to have and most importantly is not an atmosphere I would like to impose on my blog or my readers.

However,  recently when I was talking to a lovely and wise friend of mine, he told me that taking a break is healthy and normal. Not only in writing and blogging terms but also in life, as I confessed how guilty I felt for not blogging as much and that I wished I could be more consistent.  So this is me trying, putting myself out there, as they say. And as I am typing this I feel so much better now for having a break from blogging. As I feel like I have grown as a person and have a new outlook on how I want my posts to look and be, so look out for subtle changes.

Until next time lovelies,
Lizzie
